Inspiration & Creation

Eternal Light stands as the premier signature piece within my body of work—an intimate reflection of self, born from both vision and lived experience. The inspiration came from the ethereal dragon in the classic Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away, yet transformed through my own spiritual lens. For me, the dragon is more than myth; it is a guardian spirit, a presence that exists in unseen realms—what some may call the astral or spirit world.

This painting is not merely an image on canvas, but a channeling of that protection I have personally felt: a fierce, loyal energy that keeps me balanced in the love and light of the universe.

Technique & Artistic Approach

Rendered in acrylic on canvas, this piece uses layered brushwork to create dynamic textures, soft transitions of color, and a glowing interplay between light and shadow. The dragon’s sinuous form emerges in radiant white, accented with vibrant green along the mane, floating above waves of rich blue. The warm, fiery background is crafted with blended strokes of orange, peach, and golden hues, evoking both celestial fire and divine presence.

The geometric Merkaba in the upper corner is painted with precision, its triangular balance harmonizing with the flowing energy of the dragon. Together, they merge mystical symbolism with modern painterly techniques, creating a visual language that feels both timeless and contemporary.

The Symbolism of the White Dragon & Merkaba

The white dragon has long been revered as a symbol of purity, divine protection, and higher consciousness. To me, it represents the unyielding loyalty of spirit guides—guardians that move beyond physical sight, existing in the realms of light. Owning this piece is not simply a matter of art collection, but of connection: a direct resonance with a sacred protective force.

The Merkaba, known in spiritual traditions as a vehicle of ascension, carries the soul through dimensions of time and space. Its placement within this piece enhances the protective and transformative energy, ensuring that the spirit of the dragon accompanies the collector through every realm of being.
