Inspiration & Creation

Ashira was birthed through meditation, where the name first came to me—mysterious, powerful, and unfamiliar. Drawn to its resonance, I later discovered that “Ashira” has been known historically as God’s wife, a spiritual essence intertwined with divine feminine energy. With no prior indoctrination into religious texts, this revelation felt like both a calling and a confirmation.

Through my self-journey of becoming, I began to embody the spirit of Ashira: one with the Earth, aligned with the mother, and guided by sacred animals such as the Red Macaw, whose presence in this work symbolizes divine protection, vision, and spiritual guidance.

Technique & Artistic Approach

Rendered in acrylic, the composition merges ancient Egyptian symbolism with divine feminine radiance. The regal headpiece of Queen Nefertiti—one of Egypt’s most iconic goddesses—is reimagined here, drawing parallels to Ashira’s enduring presence throughout history. Layers of luminous color radiate light and depth, enveloping the figure in an aura of spiritual power, grace, and balance.

The interplay of bold color and delicate detail reflects both strength and softness, echoing the duality of the divine feminine: nurturer and protector, healer and queen.

The Symbolism of Ashira, Shekinah & Nefertiti

Ashira: Known as “God’s wife” and the Mother Earth, referenced throughout spiritual traditions, Ashira represents divine partnership, balance, and sacred feminine wisdom.

Shekinah: Often associated with the feminine presence of God, Shekinah echoes the same luminous energy embodied in this piece—light dwelling within and around us.

Nefertiti: Revered as both queen and goddess, her crown symbolizes timeless beauty, power, and divine lineage. By weaving Nefertiti’s crown into Ashira, this work honors the continuum of feminine divinity throughout history. Historical texts on Nefertiti also reference her as being intertwined with the energies of Shekinah and Ashira, embodying the divine feminine balance.

Blue Lotus: Long revered in Ancient Egypt for its tradition as a sacred flower of the divine feminine. Symbolizing rebirth, intuition, enlightenment, and spiritual awakening, it was often associated with goddesses and the eternal cycles of life. 

Sage Green: The surrounding tones of sage green were intentionally chosen to highlight the regal embodiment of Ashira. Known for its high vibrational frequency, sage green is a color of peace, love, and healing. Its presence within the composition amplifies harmony while grounding the work in an aura of balance, serenity, and sacred royalty.
